A brand new feature of this year’s Cebu Design Week is the Bodega Design Caravan which is a highly curated selling platform for excellent design & craftsmanship by the best of Cebu’s design, furniture, home furnishing, interiors and fashion accessory sectors.
The debut version of Bodega will run concurrently with the Visayas Art Fair at the Oakridge Pavilion in Mandaue City from Nov. 24-27 and will intially consist of 12 companies that represent some of the best of homegrown Cebuano design.
Located within the same venue will be this year’s edition of the Blue Mango Awards (BMA) which are Cebu Design Week’s way of celebrating creative excellence in the design domain. This year, the BMAS are pivoting to the realm of placemaking and is being organized in conjunction with the United Architects of the Philippines and the Philippine Insistute of Interior Designers.
Out of 77 entries representing built and future projects in architecture and interior Design, 21 have been shortlisted and will be judged by a renowned national practitioners in this field. In addition to the exhibits of entries, there will also be talks about the current and future state of these disciplines as well as an awards night to unveil the winners.
